Camp Staff Positions

If you have a passion for working with people with disabilities, join our team and create a career with purpose! Year-round, summer positions and internship opportunities are available.

A unique professional development opportunity for students focused on careers in education, health care and therapies, Pine Tree Camp provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for hands-on professional development. It’s a challenging job, but the rewards, both personally and professionally, are priceless. Counselors live with campers and are responsible for assisting in personal care activities. In addition to ensuring a challenging, fun and safe environment for campers, counselors are expected to be leaders, coaches and resources for their fellow staff members. Counselors receive extensive ongoing training, generous breaks and competitive pay.

What is Pine Tree Camp?

Pine Tree Camp, a program of Pine Tree Society, is an extraordinary summer camp for children and adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities. Located on North Pond in beautiful Rome, ME, Pine Tree Camp has adapted its entire facility to meet the needs of all campers.

Our staff shares a commitment to ensure that each individual camper is able to experience new activities in a safe, caring, barrier free environment. Through activities including adaptive kayaking, outdoor games, hiking on accessible nature trails, swimming, boating and fishing, campers grow and increase their sense of success and self-esteem.

Internships:
We would be happy to speak with you about internship possibilities at Pine Tree Camp.

“What we do here is truly barrier free. There is nothing I look forward to more than seeing our campers come down the hill, smiles on their faces, cheers ringing out in the air. It keeps me coming back.”
