Pine Tree Society’s 2026 holiday cards revealed

You’re in for a treat this holiday season! To honor Pine Tree Society’s 90th anniversary, we are debuting five beautiful new holiday cards – including a photograph for the first time ever. From classic lighthouses and rural scenes to a whimsical forest and a holiday train, there is a design for everyone. Don’t miss the two very special cards created by Pine Tree Camper, Peter Mahoney, and Pine Tree Society client, Nickel Dostanko. One hundred percent of proceeds from card sales support our programs.

Photographer Michael Blanchette’s “Moon Over Nubble Light” is a stunning image of this historic lighthouse perched on a small, rocky island just off the coast of York. Strings of holiday lights cast a welcoming glow after a fresh snowfall on a full-moon evening.

Sandy Crabtree’s “Winter Light” celebrates the winter beauty of Portland Head Light, Maine’s oldest lighthouse. The rocky cliff formations and sweeping views of Casco Bay highlight the uniqueness of Maine’s coast, its maritime history and the steadfast dedication of lighthouse keepers.

Marieluise Hutchinson’s “A Fine December Day” beautifully captures the rural New England holiday warmth of a cozy, classic farmhouse and barn nestled in a snow covered landscape. The home and connected barns feel full of family memories…with new Christmas memories about to be made.

Pine Tree Camper, Peter Mahoney, let his imagination run wild! His painting “Tree of Wild Life” depicts a pine tree filled with woodland creatures, birds, fish and even a turtle celebrating winter together when no one else is around to catch a glimpse of their holiday festivities.

“The Christmas Train” by Pine Tree Society client Nickel Dostanko showcases Boston and Maine Railroad’s engine #4266 decked out for the holidays. This wreath on the rails is covered in softly falling snow; contrasting beautifully with the train’s iconic colors and classic lines.
