Michael has been coming to Pine Tree Camp since he was in elementary school. It’s something he loves and feels a special ownership about. “He talks about it every day and tells people ‘Pine Tree Camp is my camp!’,” said his mother, Nicole. At camp, he does it all. He loves drama, dancing, swimming, kayaking and fishing. At home, he’s active in his community, is part of a dance program and makes friends everywhere he goes. He and his family come to camp every fall for the Flutie 5K to benefit Pine Tree Camp and give back to the place he loves.
Pine Tree Camp’s 80th anniversary “Then & Now” spotlight series pairs past images with the present day as Pine Tree Campers strike a pose capturing the passage of time and the deep connection, intimate friendships and love of the special place they return to each summer.
