Kathleen Welch joined Pine Tree Society as Managing Director of People & Operations in 2025. She brings 20 years of experience as an operations leader and educator with a passion for working with underserved populations in schools and non-profits.

Throughout her career, she has focused on streamlining organizational processes and creating sustainable efficiencies and initiatives that expand mission-driven programs and services.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University New Orleans and a master’s degree from the University of Washington.

Originally from New Orleans, Kathleen is thrilled to join Pine Tree Society and contribute to an organization making a real difference for people with disabilities in Maine. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring her new home state with her wife, Katie, and their son, Bernie, and discovering new ways to enjoy the outdoors year-round.
