Rayleen is a professional educator with a diverse background ranging from early childcare, to special education, to nearly a decade teaching middle schoolers. She holds a BA in Communication and a Master of Education degree from the University of Southern Maine and has been a leader in presenting innovative learning tools in the public schools she served.

She joined Pine Tree Camp in the summer of 2020, at the height of the pandemic, and was a key member of the core team who delivered critical opportunities for campers to stay connected during a time of social distancing; when community was needed most.

In 2023, she joined camp full time as Assistant Camp Director.

Over the three summers she worked as a Campologist during her summer breaks from teaching, she and her husband, Chris, both became passionate about Pine Tree Camp and its mission.

“Just like our campers often say, Pine Tree Camp is our ‘happy place’ and when we drive down that hill, we are home. It was a dream come true to become part of the Pine Tree Camp family year-round as an Assistant Director,” she said.

Rayleen grew up in Bucksport and resides in Topsham with her family and cat, Sylvia.
