No snow? No problem!
The Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in and Q106.5 Egg Ride to Benefit Pine Tree Camp will roll on with a convoy parade
Snow is hard to find, but the 47th annual Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in and Q106.5 Egg Ride to Benefit Pine Tree Camp will roll on this Saturday, February 1st.
“This year marks Pine Tree Camp’s 75th anniversary and this is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Noel Sullivan, President and CEO. “Thanks to the generosity of Dysart’s, the Q106.5 Egg Riders will climb aboard a flatbed trailer for a special convoy parade led by Maine Game Wardens.”
The convoy will kick off at the Hungry Hollow 76ers Clubhouse in Levant with a silent auction and all-you-can-eat breakfast.
After breakfast, the Q106.5 Egg Riders will continue the tradition of stuffing raw eggs down their snowmobile suits before hopping on the flatbed. Each egg represents a $50 pledge from Q106.5 listeners.
Escorted by Maine Game Wardens, the Q106.5 Egg Ride convoy parade will leave the Hungry Hollow 76ers Clubhouse in Levant at 9:00 a.m. and arrive at 10:30 a.m. at the Penobscot Snowmobile Club’s special Antique Pit Stop; featuring vintage sleds from the 1920s through the 1970s and refreshments courtesy of the Carmel Snowmobile Club. This one-of-a-kind pit stop is open to the public. The convoy will leave the pit stop at 11:00 a.m. and continue to Dysart’s on Coldbrook Road in Hermon for the traditional de-egging and benefit luncheon, with an expected arrival time of 11:30 a.m.
One hundred percent of proceeds from the Ride-in support Pine Tree Society’s Campership Fund. Pine Tree Camp receives no state or federal funding and ninety-nine percent of campers require tuition assistance.
