“It’s like being with family.” “I feel truly seen.”
That’s how one camper describes their participation with Pine Tree Camp’s Dirigo Experience. This unique week-long overnight camp for Maine’s Deaf and hard of hearing youth has doubled in size since it first began last year.
Television news stations WABI-TV5, News Center Maine and Fox 22 came to camp to learn more about how Dirigo Experience provides the chance for kids to make new friends, build confidence and gain leadership skills — all while having fun!
