Jess Hyde
Jess Hyde joined Pine Tree Society as an occupational therapist in 2025, bringing over two decades of experience to the Early Learning Center and Pine Tree Camp. A 2003 University of New England graduate with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Jess specializes in pediatric occupational therapy. She is passionate about collaborating with families to foster independence through purposeful play. Outside of work, Jess has been a volunteer EMT since 1998 and enjoys sailing, gardening, and nature photography.
“One of my greatest joys is showing up to work and being greeted by children who are excited to play and learn. Play is a child’s occupation, and I love that my job allows me to ‘play’ with purpose. What looks like fun on the surface is often incredibly hard work for my clients. I get to witness progress — sometimes slow, sometimes surprising, sometimes sideways — but always meaningful. Watching someone discover what is meaningful to them and helping them find ways to access it is a privilege I never take for granted.’
