Scott Miller and Cindy Campbell from Q106.5 are gearing up for the annual Q106.5 Celebrity Egg Ride to benefit Pine Tree Camp on February 3.  The on-air team of Maine’s #1 for Country, Q106.5, collects pledges from listeners and for every $50 raised, they stuff their shirts with raw eggs for a messy snowmobile ride from Levant to Newport. This tradition has been sending people to Pine Tree Camp for over 30 years!

When the riders get to Newport, there will be a public luncheon at the Newport Armory from 11:00 – 1:00.  The lunch will feature pulled pork sandwiches, fish chowder, coleslaw, chips, drinks and dessert.  All funds raised with support Pine Tree Camp.

Scott Miller Celebrity Egg Ride

Pine Tree Camp Director Dawn Willard-Robinson prepares to stuff Q106.5’s Scott Miller’s shirt with raw eggs.

Scott and Cindy interviewed Jon Fortier, Store Manager, of the Newport Hannaford Supermarket, to discuss the Egg Ride and the luncheon.

“We’re here to announce that Hannaford Supermarkets is now underwriting the luncheon so even more money will go straight to Pine Tree Camp to help the kids!” said Scott.

“This event definitely aligns with Hannaford’s priority for making sure we are keeping our communities strong,” said Fortier.

The Q106.5 Celebrity Egg Ride and the public luncheon are part of the annual Dysarts’s Snowmobile Ride-in to benefit Pine Tree Camp.
