Katherine Beach
Katie is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who found the perfect fit when she joined Pine Tree Society’s Communication Pathways team in 2019. She grew up wanting to be a teacher and, as she pursued her education, discovered she had a passion for speech therapy. She says that Pine Tree Society is her true dream job and cannot imagine doing anything more rewarding. She really enjoys figuring out what works best to help an individual communicate and provides evaluation, consultation and therapy services for children. Katie is experienced working with a variety of communication disorders including articulation, phonological, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social pragmatic, expressive and receptive language, fluency and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She attended the University of Maine, Farmington where she earned her undergraduate degree in education before completing her masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Maine, Orono. Prior to joining Pine Tree Society, she worked in private practice.
