Maria Towle

Maria is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who joined Pine Tree Society’s Communication Pathways team in 2020. She first discovered Pine Tree Society when she volunteered at Camp Communicate in 2019. “Having the opportunity to volunteer with such talented, genuine and kind people from across the organization just felt like home to me,” she recalled. Maria is motivated by being part of a team who is committed to doing their very best every day. She works with kids from pre-school through high school and also enjoys working with adults. No matter the person’s age, she works one on one and gets to know each client personally. “Building rapport is one of the most important things to me,” she continued. “If clients feel like they know you, they develop trust and that, in turn, fuels their growth.” Maria attended SUNY Plattsburgh where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Prior to joining Pine Tree Society, she worked in private and public school settings. She likes spending time outdoors and trying new things. She recently discovered a love for making pottery.
