Pine Tree Camp is nothing short of life changing for Betsey and her son, Cal.
“Every time we’ve been to Pine Tree Camp, something miraculous happens for us. It’s a really big part of our life. We expect miracles every time we go.”
Cal has significant dietary and medical needs and Betsey wondered if staying overnight would even work. From the moment they arrived, her anxiety was gone.
“I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relaxed,” is how she described it. “Cal did things I never saw him do before. He ran from one activity to the next and left me and went with the group.”

Cal is one of the hundreds of campers who count on your support. We receive no state or federal funding and, every year, must raise over $2 million dollars to cover expenses.
- Each summer, we onboard and train nearly 100 new seasonal staff; providing the tools they need to create the magic that transforms our campers’
- Our medical staff includes a consulting doctor and five registered nurses who are available around the clock.
- Our infirmary houses four sick bays and is equipped with a generator to ensure that campers using ventilators, motorized wheelchairs or electric feeding tubes are safe and well cared for should the power go out.
- Tuition for one week of overnight camp is $2,300. Since we opened our gates in 1945, no camper has ever been turned away due to their ability to pay.
- While their loved ones are here, caregivers like Betsey benefit from a much-needed respite. For many, it’s the only break they have all year.
Please make your gift today. Our campers are counting on you. Your gift will truly make a difference. Please give on-line at www.pinetreesociety.org.
