The Portland Sea Dogs first ever Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness night was a truly moving experience for us all. It was an honor to be a part of this special event. The Sea Dogs wore specially designed jerseys that replaced the traditional Sea Dogs script with American Sign Language (ASL). After the game, the autographed jerseys were auctioned off to benefit Pine Tree Camp’s Dirigo Experience summer overnight camp for Maine’s Deaf youth. Red Sox baseball legend Roger Clemens signed one of the jerseys!
