Come run, walk or roll through Pine Tree Camp’s fully accessible trails in the heart of the Maine woods. Pine Tree Camp’s 285-acre campus on the shore of North Pond in Rome is the perfect setting for people of all abilities to come together and enjoy a picturesque 5K to raise money in support of people with disabilities.

This premier race is in partnership with the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism and Pine Tree Camp is proud to be one of a select number of national locations chosen to host the Flutie 5K which boasts 3,500 participants annually across the United States.

The route takes runners, walkers, and rollers on fully accessible nature trails through the woods, along the waterfront, and around many special places where overnight summer camp memories have been made since 1945. It’s Maine like you’ve never seen it before!

Thanks to the funds raised from this race, Pine Tree Camp is reaching more campers with autism than ever. This race provides more than tuition. It provides a safe space to build lasting confidence and try new things—growth opportunities that impact campers’ lives long into the future.

“We are deeply grateful to Pine Tree Camp for partnering with the Flutie Foundation by hosting a Flutie 5k for Autism in Maine,” said Doug Flutie. “Pine Tree Camp’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility is leading the way for others to model. We are proud to join forces in Maine and to support this incredible organization by bringing more funds into the Maine community to support autism and inclusion. Seeing the Flutie 5k for Autism expand across the U.S. means so much to our family.”
