Liam is 11 years old. Thanks to your support, this summer, he was empowered to ride a bike for the very first time…and his parents were there to see it.
“His face just lit up. He was so proud and confident.”
Liam shared this life-changing Camp Pine Cone experience with new friends this summer; many of whom he has remained connected with at home.
Being together with other kids provided a strong sense of community that pushed Liam to be more independent.
“He saw kids doing things and he wanted to be able to do those things too.”
Empowerment. Confidence. Connection. Community. Independence.
Those five words form the spokes on the wheel that represents what every Pine Tree Society program is about.
Pine Tree Society’s mission is to provide Maine children and adults with disabilities the opportunities and the means to create better lives for themselves and their families.
We all know that families caring for loved ones with disabilities have fewer and fewer resources to turn to for help. The funding Pine Tree Society receives through reimbursement for services only covers a portion of our costs.
Our donors are generous and make a true difference.
Thanks to your support, we continuously provide even more ways to help Maine people with disabilities reach their goals and inspire them to discover they can do more than they thought they could.
We need your help to continue to fulfill the promise of our mission…a mission that has been in place for nearly 90 years.
Please make your gift today. Your donation will be put to work immediately to impact the lives of Maine children and adults with disabilities and their families.
Together, we make a true difference. Thank you for your support.
