Meet the Artist: Elaine Reed

Elaine Reed knew her artwork was a departure from Pine Tree Society’s typical holiday cards but she decided to submit it to the competition anyway. “I am so pleased they took a chance on something different,” she said. Her brother-in-law, Jimmy, loved Pine Tree Camp and her painting captures a special moonlit family memory the night before he passed away.

This specialized camp for Deaf and hard-of-hearing youth was founded by her husband, Joshua Seal, who was tragically killed two years ago in the Lewiston mass shooting.
